Martyrs Movie (Remake) - Teased as "Ultimate Horror Movie"

From Blumhouse productions and Safran Company, here's the first exclusive look at the upcoming horror thriller remake movie 'Martyrs,' directed by Kevin Goetz and Michael Goetz:

Martyrs stars Bailey Noble, Troian Bellasario, Kate Burton, Blake Robbins, and Ever Prishkulnik.

Plot:
"Ten-year-old Lucie flees from the isolated warehouse where she has been held prisoner. Deeply traumatized, she is plagued by awful night terrors at the orphanage that takes her in. Her only comfort comes from Anna, a girl her own age. Nearly a decade later and still haunted by demons, Lucie finally tracks down the family that tortured her. As she and Anna move closer to the agonizing truth, they find themselves trapped in a nightmare – if they cannot escape, a martyr’s fate awaits them…"

The film has no official release date yet.

The 2009 original, which had shades of Rosemary’s Baby, followed Lucie, now 25 years old, who sets out to get revenge on the people who attacked and permanently scarred her when she was only 10 years old.

The Forger (2015) Movie Trailer - Starring John Travolta

Thanks to Lionsgate and Saban Films, here is the first official trailer of 'The Forger,' the upcoming action crime thriller drama movie directed by Philip Martin (Via Yahoo!). The film stars John Tavolta in the leading role:

The Forger stars Travolta as a thief tasked with replicating a painting by Claude Monet, so that he can make off with the original.

A beautiful young actress dies and a group of drunken young men can't resist the chance to see the corpse of a woman they've idolized in the morgue and ... yep. It goes there.

Selected as part of the Midnighters program at SXSW, Hèctor Hernández Vicens' The Corpse of Anna Fritz has just released its first trailer and it crosses over one of the few remaining lines with the power to shock just by going there.

The film is directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens.

Plot:
"Anna Fritz is a very famous and beautiful actress, considered one of the most desired women in the world. Suddenly, she dies.

Pau works as an orderly at the hospital where Anna Fritz was taken to. Pau is a shy and introverted youth. Often, when the body of a young woman is brought to the morgue, he can’t resist watching her. When he enters the morgue with the corpse of Anna Fritz, he takes a picture of her naked body and sends it to his friend Ivan.

Ivan and Javi are Pau’s only friends, and go visit him at the hospital. They are a little drunk and Ivan wants to see the naked body of Anna Fritz. She is there… They can't lose this opportunity."

The Corpse of Anna Fritz World Premieres Sunday, March 15th as part of the Midnighters Lineup at SXSW 2015. Expect much more on the fest and its horror in the coming weeks.

Terrifying Thriller 'ROAR' back in theaters this Spring!

Drafthouse Films has partnered with Olive Films to release the Noel Marshall's sole––and career-derailing-–directoral effort, the notorious 1981 family affair with big cats, Roar. The film will have a limited theatrical release across the US this spring, and will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand platforms later this summer.

An unprecedented and wholly unpredictable action-adventure, Roar follows wildlife preservationist Hank (Marshall), who lives harmoniously alongside a menagerie of untamed animals, including cheetahs, elephants, lions and tigers on a preservation in the African plains. When his wife and children arrive for a visit, a long-brewing battle for dominance between two lions erupts and threatens their very lives.

“Traditionally, press releases give you a single press quote to sell you on a movie,” says Drafthouse Films CEO and founder Tim League. “Roar is so singular, so breathtaking, I have decided instead to deliver an essay that better contextualizes the incredible awesomeness of this film. When the movie finally debuted in 1981, Roar was deemed by Variety as the "most disaster-plagued film in the history of Hollywood.” It was also a financial disaster. Fortunately, the passage of time affords us the perspective to view Roar for what it truly is: the most epic and amazing animal thriller ever made. It plays out like a fever-dream Disney movie. The lighthearted slapstick of the surface masks one of the most intense, white-knuckle, nail-biting thrillers ever seen. The cast is in constant mortal danger as dozens of adult lions “improvise” around them. At numerous times Marshall drips blood as he fends off ferocious advances from jaguars and tigers alike. Melanie Griffith’s real-life mauling is on display in the final cut. A jaguar licking honey off Tippi Hedren’s face was an untested idea that could have easily ended very, very badly. Knowing the backstory of the production, you can see perpetual terror in the eyes of the cast as an army of lethal predators close in around them.

Noel Marshall and Tippi Hedren pulled off the impossible: For 11 years they crafted a movie that everybody said couldn’t be made. And in so doing, they managed to contribute significantly to the methodology for humane treatment of big cats in captivity.

No Escape (2015) Movie Trailer - Starring Pierce Brosnan And Owen Wilson

The Weinstein Company has just released the first official trailer for the upcoming action thriller 'No Escape,' which tells the story of a businessman trapped with his family in a war zone area.

An intense international thriller, NO ESCAPE centers on an American businessman (Wilson) as he and his family settle into their new home in Southeast Asia. Suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a violent political uprising, they must frantically look for a safe escape as rebels mercilessly attack the city. Directed by John Erick Dowdle and written together with his brother Drew, NO ESCAPE stars Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell.

Plot:
"In their new overseas home, an American family soon finds themselves caught in the middle of a coup, and they frantically look for a safe escape in an environment where foreigners are being immediately executed."

It stars Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell, set to be directed by John Erick Dowdle, who co-wrote the script with his brother, Drew Dowdle, who himself will be producing the film.

Previously, the movie was called The Coup. The film is scheduled to be released on September 2, 2015.

Tenured (2015) Movie Trailer - Indie Comedy Starring Kate Flannery, Marc Evan Jackson & Emily Wilson

In 2012, Gil Zabarsky and Chris Modoono debuted their narrative short TEACHER OF THE YEAR to audiences at the Tribeca Film Festival, which gained enough popularity to garner an option by Fox Digital Studio for a full-length feature.

Both Zabarsky and Modoono have completed the film and are set to bring it back to where it all started, debuting again at the Tribeca Film Festival.

"The story finds Zabarsky playing a foul-mouthed elementary school teacher who hits rock bottom when his wife leaves him. Forced to run the school play as punishment for his diminishing performance, Zabarsky uses the venue as a means to vent his frustration, unfolding before everyone's eyes.

Returning to the feature-length film is co-star Kathleen Littlefield with The Office's Kate Flannery taking over the assistant principal role.

TENURED is opening at the Tribeca Film Festival which runs from April 15 - 26 in New York, USA.

After some viral marketing tactics yesterday involving Phoenix Biogenic, Focus Features has revealed the new teaser poster and trailer for Tarsem Singh’s sci-fi thriller Self/less, starring Ryan Reynolds, Ben Kingsley and Matthew Goode.

She's Lost Control (2015) Movie Trailer - Erotic Thriller Drama

Monument Releasing just debuted the first official trailer of the upcoming dark drama thriller movie 'She's Lost Control' written and directed by Anja Marquardt.

The film stars Marc Menchaca, Dennis Boutsikaris and Brooke Bloom as Ronah, a sexual surrogate whose professional intimacy with her male clients has begun to take over her personal life.
